angela-mcsherryAngela is an Arts Consultant. For 10 years she was the Producer of the London International Festival of Theatre (LIFT), a festival that made a radical and hugely influential contribution to shifts in thinking around form, content, space and the place of internationalism in a multi-cultural capital city. Previous key roles were with leading black theatre Talawa Theatre Company. Her commitment to work for young people originated in her early role as General Manager for Theatre Centre. A maternity-cover contract at ACE offered up great experience in the funding structure. Recent consultancies include senior management recruitment, organizational development and cultural strategy alongside a continued commitment to producing work. As Co-Director of TippingPoint Angela was part of a pioneering initiative to bring artists and scientist together to explore the cultural context of climate she and she now continues to work with TippingPoint leading its influential Commissions Programme. Angela is currently Producer for the Gulbenkian Galapagos Artists Residency Project alongside her ongoing consultancy work. As a mentor Angela works with a range of younger arts producers and managers. Angela joined the WildWorks board in November 2011. She is also Chair of Fevered Sleep and a Trustee of the Arches in Glasgow.
