The WildWorks team of makers stayed at Morwenstow between December 2nd and 5th, setting up a workshop at the Women’s Institute in Morwenstow. Out of the materials gathered during the earlier stages of the project we created eight ‘memory boxes’. We wanted to interpret photographs and memories in an accessible way, creating installations that ‘told’ story and resonated with the community. We selected themes that had appeared and re-appeared during our contact with the community. We decided that we would set these memory boxers in public spaces that held significance for the community, setting the images and memories in a living context and rescuing them from the obscurity of the photo album or the dusty archive.
