WildWorks feels the project outcomes have been met, in no small measure thanks to the hospitality, commitment and enthusiasm of  the community in Morwenstow and the surrounding area. The project engaged all age groups and, more importantly, created a space where they could talk to each other.

Participants were able to articulate the things they valued about the place where they live. WildWorks returned their stories and memories to them through a series of events, film and installations that gave value to what they, so generously, had entrusted to us.

WildWorks has left copies of the film ‘Harvesting Memory’, and of the photographs and written memories we collected with the Parish Council, the School, the Morwenstow Society and other local historical archives. Community members have been beating a path to our door asking for copies of the film, which we are supplying at cost value.

More importantly, the project has generated a sense of trust which will provide a solid basis from which to take the work up again in the future.
